- My love of polymer clay started shortly after I discovered how to string beads onto a wire and call it a bracelet. For those of you who don’t know what polymer clay is, I’ll tell you. It is clay that comes in many, many, many colors. There are different manufacturers. Premo, Sculpey, Femo, just to name a few. The clay is very easy to work with. You can make just about anything with it. Charms, figurines, beads, ring dishes (just not real dishes, it’s not suitable to eat off of). Anyway after you make whatever it is that your heart desires, you bake it in an oven, according to recommended time and temperature. The manufacturer will have instructions on the packaging. After baking and cooling you can glaze your item to give it a shiny appearance or leave it like it is. The possibilities are endless. I’ve included a picture of dog I made. Keep in mind that i love working with polymer clay, but i never claimed to be great.I named him Shaggy. My daughter says it looks more like a cat. She’s ten, what does she know? Feel free to leave comments and your opinion. Dog or cat? Let’s take a poll.
- Goodnight for now. Sweet dreams and happy crafting!
